Openning of the new "Little Prince" Social Center in Gavar

Following the large success of the first "Little Prince" centre in Gyumri everyone involved in the "Little Prince" project came together to celebrate the opening of the second "Little Prince" centre in Gavar on July 20th. The event was especially important to those from Gavar as the "Little Prince" centre is the first of its kind to open in the city; the anticipation could be felt in the air. Television reporters from Gavar TV were there to cover the event; staff from Armenian Caritas; the children and parents who will be attending the centre. The center hosts 40 children.

The guests were greeted at the centre by the "Little Princes" of "Cross of Armenian Unity" Charity Cultural NGO, from Etchmiadzin. They were dressed up in the Little Prince outfits with the suits and crown. The "Little Princes" inducted the centre with a speech welcoming the new Princes: "I am the Little Prince and I have come here today to open the new centre as a place for new Princes to learn and grow".

Anahit Mkhoyan, the Director of Armenian Caritas, and Armen Martirosyan, the Program Manager, both shared their enthusiasm and support for the centre with a few encouraging words towards the staff and families. The ceremony ended with the cutting of the ribbon done by the President of Armenian Caritas, Most Reverend Father Vahan Ohanian. The guests were given the opportunity to mingle while touring the facility and enjoying delicious food prepared for them by the centre. The day ended on a positive note with smiles and laughter spreading throughout the building.
